The Sensory Park in Skalo is ready for playtime! The idea was to make the 1st “sensory floor art piece” in Curaçao, where the little ones can play endlessly for a long time to come and bringing more livelyhood to the park! It’s ready.. so come out and play!

What’s Your Story ?! Creative Community Projects carried out this sub-project in collaboration with Fundashon Rebiba Skalo Abou (FRESA), Scharloo Abou Digital Platform and Street Art Skalo. This community project for the children has been made possible with the support of Active Chance, Representation of the Netherlands, Spigt Dutch Caribbean and the special floor paint has been sponsored by Sherwin Williams. The creation is in line with the wishes of those involved to bring more livelyhood to the park by giving more space to interactive artworks in the park! Visitors are invited to not only look, but to also do something! We hope in the future Parke Leyba will become a central gathering place for all ages.

Local creative duo, brother and sister Sander and Nicole van Beusekom, together form What’s Your Story !? They came up with something creative that fits with their mission to “Inspire creativity, bring people together through art, while beautifying our island!”. The illustrative design by Blend Creative Imaging (Artist Sander van Beusekom) is a colorful refreshment for the park in Scharloo Abou, where art & play are combined! Project management, social media & video promotion are caried out by SmartBox Plus and Smart Capture (Nicole van Beusekom)

Creative community projects to improve neighborhoods. What’s Your Story?! already collaborated with Fundashon FRESA, in the beginning of 2019, to create a unique art-sports field in Fleur de Marie (See other projects). That one was with the help of the kids in the neighborhood and thought it would be great to be able to teach this vulnerable group more creative skills. We wanted to do this by giving them more lessons, involving them more in the beautification of their neighborhood, but also by bringing them together with children from outside the neighborhood. We hoped, and actually already see, that both community projects have contributed to the further positive development of the district.
